This was the very store that the company made a name for it’s selling all natural medicine, herbs and even teas as well other various products. An all brick building with a huge front window and the door even had one of those little chimes on it that rang every time the door was open. It was midday in the winter, the snow was coming down lightly an d it was a rather chilly day with the temperature only reaching in the mid twenties. The streets, trees well the whole city was coated in a white powdery snow. That was not enough to keep people from doing their daily shopping and coming into the store. It was one of three shops owned by Mountain Rose, this was the smallest and didn’t nearly carry as much as the others or have a sandwich shop in it. It was just one of those quint little stores often seen in movies and a comfort to all who shopped here. The man who wore a light blue button up shirt with a tan button up vest which was undone that match the tan pants his wore walked back into the store, sitting the shovel down beside the entrance. Keeping the front sidewalk shoveled was only part of his job. Taking care of customers and stocking shelves was another but there was another jobs he too much more seriously than this one. It was the one that often surprised people to know it was him out there on the streets fighting injustice and battling for the rank of champion hero…the vary tittle that was his a little over a year ago before his injury. The spiked hair man was known as Scott Harkness and he still showed a side affects of his injury and that apart of him was still trying to recover. He walked with a slight limp, one he didn’t even bother trying to cover up. Luckily for him, he no longer needed a cane to make his way around the store let alone anywhere else. With the money he made as a hero, he didn’t need to work here in this store but he felt it was his duty to do. One-way he could give back to the company who gave him everything. ”Excuse me, young sir. I was wondering if you could help me get a can of you Rose Tea down.” |
His dark blue almost black eyes watched as the woman left the store, the smile still on his face with a soften expression. After making sure she was on her way okay. Scott opened the cash register and slipped in the money for the candy out of his own pocket before moving away from the counter. After a moment, he came back out from the backroom and sat a box of herbal medicine blends down and started to restock some of the items they were starting to run low on thanks to the colds and flu that were hitting everyone hard this time of year.
