Lost in a riddle that Saturday night
★ APPEARANCE
Kagerou has a massive amount of hair. The hair is dark pinky rose color. It ends at her waist and she usually ties it in a braid or has it in a ponytail. She sometimes it hang loose though. It is one of the few things she taken care of when she can. Meaning it is in top shape with a soft, silky texture. Oddly enough, she doesn’t take of it often as most females. Usually it is tied in a ponytail or
Her eyes are piercing blue-green eyes that are the mixture of jade stone and sapphire jewels. They seem to pierce through the other person’s soul if you look at them directly at eye-level. That is why most people don’t look into her eyes. Normally, when in a crowd they are aware, calculating, and relaxed looked at them. They also tend to twinkle when amused or excited. They also have a hollow and emotionless look in them when no one is looking. This shows her inner despair.
Her skin is a slightly dark peach. This is due to it being genetic trait of environment and from where she grew up. Meaning she doesn’t easily sunburns and she is used to very hot temperature environment. This is due to the environment of the sage training. Both of her ears are pieced three times.
Her body has a slender/slim built- she looks frail and delicate to most people. Because of her frail appearance most people think she is sickly and weak. However this is far from the opposite and is in fact stronger than most her gender. This causes a lot of surprises and shock from the people around here. This shows that you shouldn’t judge someone by their appearance or gender. Her body is curvy and fit as well. She stands at around a 5’6 in height.
Kagerou is not a person to be picky about what she wears. She does not care about fashion or how good it is. All she cares about is about here wearing something easy to wear. However there are two things she rarely wears and she despise to even use.
The first is bright colors. She rarely every wear colors like purple and pink. It is bad enough she got pink hair. She thinks that true warrior shouldn’t wear bright colors. She believes wearing them gives away your position to the opponents. So basically you are a sitting duck when you wear them. Color scheme wise: she prefers red, gray, black, and gold and maybe a little orange and brown.
She also doesn’t wear skirts or dresses mostly. This is because she believes that this will hinder her movement and are uncontrollable. She also believes she doesn’t look good in this type of clothing. So she tries to avoid this group of outfits as best as she could. However, she does done the formal clothing if she has to wear it (even if she doesn’t like it).
Her outfit changes depending on her mood. It is known to change from time to time. It was also known to be changed to suit the needs of the occasion. Combined with her good acting skills she can fit into many roles. She could act a waitress or an old man hermit. However she does have a standard outfit that she uses. This outfit is her prefer to wear and is the most comfy one to her to wear.
On her upper body she usually has on a dark crimson- gray Chinese top. Underneath this top is a fishnet shirt that extends to her wrists. This fishnet is not just a fashion accessory, it has a purpose. It serves as protection from weapon attacks and basically acts like light, easy to move in armor. She also has an ankle length black trench coat with red edges. She usually just wears it or wrap around her waist. On her back of the coat is a crimson and gold yin-yang symbol with a phoenix circling the symbol. The coat has deep pockets-both on the inside and outside of the coat. These pockets are where she stores many things, though they are sometimes crammed with sweets-mainly Pocky (preferably milk and strawberry flavored).
On her legs is a pair of long gray pants that ends at her ankles. The material the pants are made off isn’t easily ripped yet it is easy to move in. It got deep pockets that she usually puts her hands to when she is bored. Around her waist are many belts and attached to these belts are pouches and more pouches. Also, hanging from her pockets is a couple of steel chains. These chains are not just decoration; they can be used in combat in many different ways. Her footwear is not what usual the warrior wears. Instead of sandals or those types of shoes, she wears boots. These boots are made of black leather and have metal toes and bottoms. This allows better protection to her feet and allows her kicks to do more damage.
She also has some accessories on her body. She has bandages that are tightly wrapped around her right lower arm along with both of her legs. She wraps a black scarf with silver and gold stars around her neck. However, she occasionally wraps it around her waist. She also wears a pair of sunglasses. Kagerou is a hard character to describe. When in public she puts on a mask over her true personality. She almost never let people see her true self and if they manage to catch a glimpse of her true self she pushes them away. She is afraid that she might be abandoned if she shows weakness/vulnerability and will be left alone. That is why she pushes people away-thinking that might leave her in the end. However, to the few that gains her trust and devotion she is loyal and friendly companion who you can trust.
She has a mask personality that she puts up in public. This personality is somewhat different from her true nature and is sometimes different to how she truly feels. When she is in her fake mask personality in place she is happy and cheerful. She seems to be a ray of sunshine and very optimistic. She appears to easy going and easily brushes trouble aside. She also can be a voice of reason and help smooth the worries of the people of people.
Why does she show this personality even if she is not truly happy and cheerful? She doesn’t want the people around her to worry about her. She doesn’t want them to wallow in their misery and be like her also. She believes if she is depressed she will influence the feeling of others. So she tries to put the bright faced on so that they think she is fine
However her caring and gentle along with being the voice of reason is part of her true personality and is not fake. Because of her putting on a fake personality most of the time she developed she became a very good actor. This is why she is able to do her mask personality so easy these days and make it so convincing. The people who know that her happy persona is really a fake one think this mask is super creepy. It usually gives them the chills.
In reality, despite her confident aura and charismatic attitude, she has trouble with herself. For one, she has a lack of self worth. She also very hard on herself can constantly strives to improve and get better. She also very grudge holding and can be rather vengeful.
In battle and work she is a terror. She's calm and calculating to the core. Usually emotions doesn't take place in battle. She has no fear about fading away from existing and carefully calculates a plan. Her kind and carefree facade now totally drops and she rarely shows mercy or pity.
She also has many other quirks and traits that make her unusual. She most of the dozes off and falls asleep. She can be a bit blunt and tell the truth-no matter how bad it is. She also is known to state the obvious and is known to be sarcastic. She is also rather dense to emotions and social stuff. Especially romance. Finally, she is known to be cool headed most of the time no matter what the scenario. However if pushed too far- she can be…”violent’. ★ Backstory
Kagerou's history was pretty interesting. At first, she was an outcast due to her shadow and darkness powers. It was because darkness was typically viewed as evil and vile. However, her parents stood by her. Eventually, the family company expanded and boomed. It became world wide famous and reowned as a technology and media company. Her family consisted a mom, a dad, her [he oldest], her twin, and three other children. Both of her parents had some NEXT powers...yet are not heroes.
Eventually, she got into the HERO tv business, sponsored by her family company. She had a rocky start, she was seen as dark and creepy. Destroying property. Not caring about ratings. She just was in it to prove herself and her powers and help others. But gradually, as she got into the job, she proved to herself she can be a hero and still have SOME Ratings. That was good enough for her. That was her time as Midnight Moon.
One day, her father got ill. This made her worried. She already lost her mother due to an accident. So she decided to take a break. But her got worse and worse, and eventually was going to die. On his death bed, he declared Kagerou as the heir of Izanagi Inc.
So Kagerou, at a young age, quit her hero business quietly as she could. She focused on the company. Of course, her agent, a dear friend of her was upset. But he understood. They gradually got closer and were engaged. However, again an accident took of the one she cared for, her fiancé. However, it seemed like not an accident. But she couldn't do anything since the tracks was so covered up. It seemed her fiancé had a younger brother. Deciding to try to protect her dear one's legacy, she adopted the kid.
That was twelve years ago. Now, she is focused on her job and expanding and strengthens Izanagi Inc. Yet, she still spends time with her adopted kid and family and the few friends she still have. Kagerou's superhero outfit is slightly badass in some ways. First, she wears a mask. This mask is made of hard metal yet shiny like porcelain. It is shaped like a cross between a wolf and a dragon. She wears a black trench coat with silver lining and edges. This trenchcoat is made of a mix of thread like metal and actual threads, so it functions like armor. It has a moon with wolf on the back. She also have the logo of Izanagi Tech on her shoulders. She wears a chest plate armor with arm guards also. On her legs, she wears thick pants, with knee high boots with metal soles and front. She also wears a scarf around her neck. This is her Midnight Moon outfit, when she DOES go do heroics. Sometimes, she wears a cloak too.

Kagerou has one main power, her main and strongest power is Umbrakineses. This ability is the ability to manipulate, control, summon, and create shadows and darkness. . By itself, darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but by accessing a dimension of dark energy it can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: one can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create a variety of constructs and weapons and, teleport one's self through massive distances via shadows. Though Umbrakineses, there is also some minor abilities that comes from it. She can heal using darkness as a medium, she has limited intangibility by turning herself into a shadow, she can also teleport herself and others via shadows. She also can materialize and shape shadows into objects and has night vision. She also got limited levitation and flight.
However, with all these powers, there come weaknesses. First of all, bright lights make her abilities slower and weaker when they first activate. Meaning the first few moments of the fight, she is weaker until she gradually get resistance to a territory’s brightness. Healing, she feels the pain to higher degrees as she heals the injuries. Intangibility, she cannot fight using this form. Most of her abilities require concentration and focus as well. So if you shock her badly mentally or something, she will have trouble using her powers for a bit.
