STERNBILD CITY WELCOMES YOU HOME
Nestled between two rivers, Sternbild is a sprawling megacity that positively dwarfs its surroundings. It is massive, separated into three tiers that are secured in place by various support columns. The levels are named after precious metals (Bronze, Silver and Gold respectively), and the quality of life increases as one travels up the city. Sternbild is a melting pot of culture, people from all over the world can be found living within the city limits. The architecture is as varied as those that call the city home, and it's not uncommon to find skyscrapers occupying a block with traditional Asian homes. In the center of the city sits Justice Tower, where important meetings are regularly held. Surrounding the tower in a circle are the headquarters for the various major companies that serve Sternbild.
It is important to note that the technology that keeps Sternbild running is varied as well. Modern conveniences like cellphones and computers are common place, but paper media such as magazines and newspapers are still regularly used. Transportation comes in many flavors, with boats, airships, planes, cars and monorails all working around the clock to shuttle people from point a to point b.
In NC 1932, people with special abilities began appearing. These individuals became known as the NEXT (Noted Entites with eXtraordinary Talents). Since then their population has been rising. NEXT cannot be identified until their powers awaken, which varies from person to person.
