NOTES: THIS AND THAT No one knows the way I feel
a part of me I have to find
Buried somewhere deep beneath my skin
The old theatre was so run down…climbing ivy making its way up the building in random spots. The building was in good shape being an old brick building in all. The windows were another story, broken ones in random spots… some completely missing. The sign that hung above the doors, hung half there…half off and the white front completely gone… Its easy to see why this theatre had been neglected so much from the rumors of the murder suicide that happened…to the people who entered it dying mysteriously days after buying the theatre… The place had been left to rot away in the slums…
Now covered in a good bit of snow and ice, Alex stood outside looking at it. He had just brought it even though everyone who was after him and the money advised against it. He had brought it under the lie of he was going to restore it and give something back to the community to honor his parents. Truth was, he was going to use the basement that used to be a bomb shelter for his training… his little hideout.
Alex stood there, his hands tucked into a leather jacket that had a fleece hood attached to it and racing stripes down the sleeves. Along with his usually button up shirt with a tee shirt underneath, cargo pants and boots. He didn’t look like a typical rich kid because that is what he wanted to avoid, no one knew he was alive and it would stay that way... He didn't want to be found it would just get in his way and ruin his plans.
A deep sigh was given as he reached up and messed his hair up to get the snow out from it. This was going to be a bit of work keeping the cover up going but it was worth it. He finally had a base…a place where he felt a bit more at home then he did back at his parents place.... not even able to call it his home. His home was the forest he had been taken from even though they called it a rescue.
Everyday it was struggle for him…with all the personal belongings to all the technology… to the fact he had to act like he was a person that was polite and friendly. Even though he wanted nothing more than to tell people to leave him alone… to go watch some reality show instead of following him around. After a while, his thoughts turned back to the reason why he was here…why this place was his new hideout. To get revenge and find the truth about why everything happened. The only good thing was he had more than enough money to get all the high tech stuff he would need to finding the truth…
His thoughts were completely broken when he heard the sound of the snow and ice cracking under the pressure of someone’s feet…They were still a couple of feet away but he could tell they were heading this way. Oh well, it wasn’t like he was in the wrong here... He could just used the excuse of checking out this theatre and seeing what he needed to do to bring it back to glory.
Having forgot about the curse and the fact he was now standing under the huge white billboard, more interested in the sound of the footsteps coming this way and who it was, he barely had time to reacted to the creaking sound of the billboard before it came crashing down. Alex had managed to rolled out of the way within seconds of the sign coming down. He started to push himself up from the pile of snow he rolled into.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] if i were poetry, i'm sure you'd misread me if i were a melody, you'd sing me off key i sigh another sigh, over the things you do
"And it's not like you'd understand, Mari! And it's not like you'd understand, Mari!"
She was really getting sick and tired of that sentence repeating. It wasn't like she wanted the whole speech to repeat, but that one sentence made her feel forever guilty. She wanted to say she did understand. She wanted to say a lot of things, but instead she just stood there and let those words repeat as she tried not to show her glowing blue eyes behind a pair of sunglasses. But there were just some things she couldn't say sometimes. And there were just times people needed to be angry. She understood not everyone in the world could be happy at every moment. Without the few bad times, it would be impossible to tell what the good times were.
"And it's not like you'd understand, Mari!"
She sighed as she kept pushing her way through, walking at a speedy pace. People glanced over at her as they heard the words that continued to follow her. Most people always assumed she was speaking. Nobody suspected that sometimes words seemed to follow her for no reason. It was completely illogical so there was no reason to ever thing words could become a lost puppy following her home. Her parents still weren't too sure what to make of her whole NEXT powers. It had been about five years since they awoken and all they seemed to do was create awkward situations in the house rather than anything. Still, her parents understood sometimes words got lost around her.
"And it's not like you'd understand, Mari!"
It was nice a few people could understand, but it didn't make it any better. "And it's not like you'd understand, Mari!" Maribelle sighed as she stopped. Her house wasn't close to here and she wasn't too sure if she could take an hour's walk of torment. Not too far was an an abandoned, ruin down theater. She looked around for a moment to see if anyone was around since it seemed like the perfect place. It wasn't like she expected security guards or anything else in this area. The Bronze area didn't have all that many police force in it in general. But she didn't really want to be followed. She just needed a moment to herself. If she could just take a moment to try to get herself together, those stupid words might stop. "And it's not like you'd understand, Mari!" If they didn't stop pretty soon, she'd start screaming. And then if she started to scream, the echoing words might start screaming. She was trying to avoid looking like an insane person. If she caused too much of a commotion, this would all get back to the Academy. And then, she'd be in even more trouble.
"And it's not like you'd understand, Mari!" the words said loudly, causing her to start walking again.
Maribelle sighed as she walked slowly hugging herself. "I do understand. Could you please stop now," she asked in a rather defeated tone. They got in a fight over the stupidest thing. She had given her friend some advice about what to do about a troublesome customer. It nice, sound advice. But instead, it was just something her friend didn't want to hear and she blew up at Maribelle. Now those last ending words didn't want to stop. The teen girl stopped in front of the building. She closed her eyes and rubbed the temples of her head. She needed to clear her mind. She needed to concentrate on making the world silent. Eventually, the repeating words would stop. If she just kept her mind clear enough, everything would be quiet again...
Her eyes shot open but it wasn't really words that caused them to open. Instead, it was a loud sound of something falling. She saw what looked like the sign that used to announce what was playing on the ground. She was rather luck she was standing a bit far from there to get hit. "That could have been...disastrous," she mumbled with a sigh.
"Disastrous..."
"Great! Now that wants to be a stupid echo," she huffed annoyed, rolling her eyes. In her annoyance, she notice a pile of snow seemed to be wiggling not too far from the sign. The curious girl walked over towards the moving snow and poked it. "Huh?" she mumbled as she kept poking it before the snow became a boy. She stared at him for a long, awkward minute before smirking and giggling.
"Disastrous..."
Her giggling stopped and became an annoyed moan.

Quick reflexes, the ability to think within a second and react at the same time…one of the abilities he learned from the forest. So much of what he had become…the advanced abilities of his were all a result of his learning how to survive in the forest and not become wolf chow. If it weren’t for his ability to act without having to think about it, he would have been made a pancake by that falling billboard…
But instead he was a snowball in a bank of snow. Which did little to bother him…this cold was nothing like the forest. The winters got so cold there that trees exploded in the middle of the night… There were times in the winter that he would boil water and head outside of his shelter and toss it in the air and watch as it instantly turned into snow. So this was much more like a early spring day for him.
Alex had pushed himself out from the deep bank only to find himself being poked over and over again. A shake of his head sent snow flying in every direction as he looked at the girl rather annoyed from the poking. His blonde hair still a bit snow covered and sticking up in random directions. He sat there in the snow bank, sitting much like a dog would. His blue eyes just staring slightly narrowed, still annoyed from being poked at.
Being touched was something he didn’t handle to well… after all human contact was something he pretty much gone ten years without and was not use to it. Among many other things… Alex wasn’t sure what was going on with this girl who was giggling away then suddenly stopped as she gave an annoyed moan. ”Your crazy…” He muttered before standing up and brushing more of the snow off himself.
To say he was good at interacting people would be like saying there was world peace… When it came down to interacting with other humans, he failed rather badly at it. However give him an animal and he felt more comfortable with it and would have made friends with it in a matter of minutes…
His blue eyes stared at the theatre again, swearing to himself in his thoughts that he would tame this place and make it his base of operations. Alex glanced back at the girl who was still standing there which in itself was kind of creepy…. But he just was not sure what to say or do about her. Instead he started to walk away from the theatre, not wanting it to attack him again.

While he wasn’t amused by her poking, she was delighted. The boy looked rather grumpy, but that was probably because he was cold. She typically was the happiest in the cold either, but she didn’t go hiding in snow. If he was cold, it was his own fault. Then again, he didn’t really see any of that the same way she did. He seemed to think she was the crazy one as he got out of the snow and brushed himself off. Maribelle frowned as she looked at the boy. How rude!
”You’re crazy…”
Now his voice seemed to be repeating in the wind, not that she really cared. She wasn’t particularly happy for such a rude phrase to be on a loop but it was something she couldn’t control. Well, technically she could. At the Academy, controlling her powers seemed much easier. She simply had to concentrate rather hard and thinks worked like they should have. She wondered if there was someone there who had the power to help others control her powers since they seemed way more effective there and a whole lot less annoying. ”You’re crazy.” It repeated again, causing her blue glowing eyes to roll underneath the dark shades.
”Whatever…” she replied in a stand-offish tone. She looked away for a moment before looking back at him. She wasn’t fond of rude people, but he was hiding in the snow when that sign fell. It was pretty close to him, so he might have been hurt. ”Are you alright?” she asked in a mildly concern tone. It didn’t matter. He already seemed to look like he ready to ignore her and everything about her. Maribelle continued to stare at him as he looked at the sign. She glanced over at it. She wasn’t too sure what was so special about it. It was a pretty run down thing. The whole building was. Actually, lots of things in the Bronze district weren’t in the best of shape. Most pristine looking things were in the Gold Stage. It was so shiny and clean up there. The Silver Stage wasn’t so bad either. She was rather fond of her neighborhood, but she was well aware of how lacking it was in comparison to the pretty houses on the highest level of the city.
He started looking at her, making her feel a bit confused. Maribelle removed her glasses to look back at him with a better view. She wasn’t sure if it was because her eyes were glowing or because he was a jerk, but he suddenly left without a word. She watched him for a second before shaking her head. He really was the jerky type. ”Hey! Boy!” she shouted. Sadly, shouting with her powers was a bit bad. Her voice became unnaturally loud like she was shouting through a bullhorn. Of course, the loud sound vibrations shifted a pile of snow atop the unstable building causing a lump to fall on top of her. Stupid snow. Stupid annoying powers.
Maribelle dusted she snow off her shoulders, hair and face before she walked towards him. She had a slightly annoyed look on her face, but that wasn’t coming off at the moment. ”I said are you hurt?” she asked in a normal tone. She tried to keep from sounding too annoyed since snow never made her happy. She wished winter could be over already.
