WHERE DO YOU STAND?
First League Heroes
These are the well-established heroes. They are comfortable with their NEXT powers and are rather famous, due to being top competitors on HeroTV as well as being backed by some of the city's biggest companies. First Leaguers are generally tasked with the big stuff: dealing with terrorist cells, vigilantes, etc.Second League Heroes
Ranking under the First Leaguers, these folks still get air time on HeroTV but it's relatively small. They are either new to the Hero business or have less useful NEXT powers, but are determined to help protect the city. They usually deal with smaller things, petty theft, muggings, etc. Their sponsors tend to be smaller, less prestigious companies.Vigilantes
Vigilantes don't agree with the Heroes' versions of justice. They're out to take care of criminals in their own way, no matter the cost. Most vigilantes juggle their efforts to help the city with a normal job to maintain a facade, as vigilantism is illegal in Sternbild City.Criminals
This is a pretty wide umbrella that covers a number of things. Murderers, gang members, terrorist cell members all go here. If a character's main goals or livelihood revolve around acts of malicious intent, they go in this group.Civilians
Everyone that doesn't fall under the above is a civilian. They have the option of being NEXT, but it's not required. Family members, entrepreneurs, etc., this group is pretty much open to everything.
