N.B. Will edit later with a fancy template; right now I just want to get the info out there. :3
Overview
“If you could be either God’s worst enemy or nothing, which would you choose?” - Chuck Palahniuk
Garison Graves is a shadow, a phantom, a ghost. That isn't to say he's immortal or ethereal - he's just hard to see, may or may not even exist and is scary as all hell. Rumours would abound about this man, had he any care for fame or even the notoriety that comes with his criminal deeds. Rather, he floats from one job to the next, adopting all manner of aliases and guises to carry out his ultimate ambition: to prove to the world that, in a world gone mad, there is no such thing as ambition. Nihilism is the order of the day, and Garison is more than happy to serve it to all and sundry.
Friends
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." - Sun-Tzu
Friends are nothing more than a tool, a mere instrument to be played for all they're worth and then discarded when it ceases to be of any amusement. Garison's very ethical standards - or lack thereof - makes him anathema to the mere concept of friendship. That's not to say he won't forge allegiances, of course: if something can be twisted and bent to further his own agenda, then he's all in favour of clenching his teeth and getting on with it.
Just don't be surprised if the mad dog suddenly decides to bite.
Enemies
"Whoever lives for the sake of combating an enemy has an interest in the enemy's staying alive." - Friedrich Nietzsche
One might think that Garison's callous disregard for human life and gleeful rejection of others' beliefs would make him a prime target for scorn and ire wherever his feet may tread. This may be the case - though if it is, he is gleefully unaware of it. For Garison, enemies are those that resent you for being better than them, those that claw and gnash with envy and bile because they know they are beneath you; whether this is the case or simply a result of the man's potential superiority complex is unclear.
All in all, Garison is an equal opportunities murderer: he'll turn on you and cut your throat regardless of whether you're on his side or not.
Love
"The rules of fair play do not apply in love and war." - John Lylys
Much like friendship, love seems like a foreign concept to one such as Garison. That doesn't mean perversion is, and Garison deals in perversion like a drunk deals in obscenities. Among his rejection of all moral standards is the abandonment of love for love's sake, instead replaced by a callous desire to flirt with everything that moves and use his charismatic flair and serpentine charms to get exactly what he wants.
Others
"This is how the world ends: not with a bang, but with a whimper." - T.S. Eliot
Garison is a man with an ambition; an ambition that he is willing to go to any and all lengths necessary to achieve. Whatever it takes, he will tear down any wall, slaughter any foe, destroy any sacred commandment in order to further his own twisted agenda.
What it is that he would go to all these lengths for, even he can't say.
Garison is a dangerous individual, a man who zealously opposes zealotry, yet stands by his non-existent principles as a harsh statement against the cruelty and absurdity of human existence. His beliefs are an absolute lack of beliefs, an abyss that he wants the whole world to experience.
And he's going to make sure they enjoy every moment of it.
