✓ Classical violin and piano music: Paganini, Bartok, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, ect.
✓ Dance: She took ballet at her mother's urging when she was quite young until she was about 14-15. She was good, but not the best, so she bowed out. She still practices every day to remain limber.

★ APPEARANCE
Chandra is pale, not getting much sun and burning easily rather than tanning. Her eyes are an unforgiving, pale, and icy green. Her hair is raven black and flows down her back to her waist. Her mannerisms are generally coolly polite, unless or until someone is close to her. Around those she considers family she is animated and warm. There is no "friend" setting on her, though, so she will either hold you at arm's length with cool words and colder stares, or she will embrace you in a warmth she never shows the outside world.
She tends to wear dark blues and charcoal greys. Generally skirt or pants suits in black or dark grey with blue button down shirts. She tends to wear ballet shoes most of the time, either the slipper or the tie up ones, depending on whether it is skirts or pants that day. (ie. Tie ups with skirts, slippers with slacks)
During exercise she wears a leotard, generally dark blue or grey. She favours 3/4 or long sleeves. Pairing them with white or black convertible tights.

★ Backstory
Chandra's mother and father were not exceptional people. Her father, Bakari, was, ironically enough, not much of a success. He worked a low level manual labor job for most of his life, he was promoted to night supervisor in the time before Chandra was born. He was laid off his job when she was about six years old.
That's when things really started going wrong. As Bakari got further from employment and it became harder or him to get back into the job market, he started drinking. The drinking slowly led him down the dark path and he started getting more violent. Eventually he started hitting Chandra's mother, Kelosia.
Kelosia had been a house wife until Bakari had gotten fired, when she started a job at a laundry in town to help support them until he could find other work. Needless to say he found his new reliance on his wife to be emasculating and redirected his anger towards her. Chandra watched them spiral downwards until she was about 12, when during one particularly nasty fight she was cut across her cheek by a piece of shrapnel from a vase that Bakari was throwing at Kelosia. After that, he went after Kelosia with a kitchen knife and that was about all Chandra could take. When Bakari succeeded in stabbing Kelosia in the chest, Chandra's eyes went red, and her NEXT power awoke.
She remembered later touching the blood running down her face and making a throwing motion as one would use to throw a dagger, and the blood stabbed out and lodged itself in Bakari's throat. The damaged had already been done though, her mother was gone at her father's hands and she'd administered instant Karma, taking his life away. After a few moments the blood needle melted away and all that was left was a pool of blood mostly her father's and a little of hers, which could be explained away by her own injury. She used a cloth to give her mother an ice pick after piercing the same place as the blood needle had. She called the police and reported the fight stating that they had succeeding in killing each other in front of her. She had no desire to go to jail for killing Bakari when, as she saw it, her actions were merely justice for his own.
She became a ward of the state and grew up hiding her NEXT powers and training herself with them in private. She had been put into dance and piano lessons by Kelosi until the family could no longer afford it, so she kept in practice in both areas as a way of holding on o the gifts her mother gave her. Later. she learned how to use a dagger from a male friend named John during her days as a ward. John was eventually killed by an unstable young man who oddly enough, very shortly afterwards died in an unusual way.
Ilandere's suit is a black and white apron dress.(Think Alice in Wonderland). The dress itself being black with puffed short sleeves and a white apron, two pockets on the front. This is made on a fire retardant and stretchy material. She wears under that an armored leotard in black and black tights. She wears a strip of sheer black lace over her eyes as a blind fold, mimicking the Blind Lady; her eyes appear to bleed from under it. Her feet are shod in a pair of specialty ballet slippers which are almost indestructible. Her hair is a silvery grey, while in this uniform.

--Hematokinesis is the ability to manipulate, animate, solidify and otherwise control blood. Whether the blood is one's own, from one's surroundings (blood-bank, hospital, battlefield) or from/in someone else. She can use up to 35% of her total blood volume before this becomes dangerous and she chances passing out. She can use it as a shield, weapon, or projectile. She dislikes using projectiles because one the blood is detached from her the only way to call it back into herself is to let enough blood out that it can become part of a stream of blood again and be called back into her. She can reabsorb anyone's blood however, and her body compensates for any differences in type or rH factor.

★ Weaponry
She carries several varying daggers and blades hidden away on her person. She can throw and wield all of them with ease and almost preternatural precision. They are all mono-filament edged. Not only so that they can pierce armor/suits if necessary, but also because she finds it easier to cut herself at need when the blade is sharp.
★ ETCETERA
Chandra is surprising laid back about most things. While she isn't an easy friend to cultivate nor is she highly judgmental of people. She simply doesn't attach easily. To her there are things that People simply don't do, like killing or raping one another. Once someone has done those things, they are no longer People to her, but meat-sacks-of-dirty-water. However, even if she doesn't agree with your aesthetics or politics, so long as you haven't crossed that line she values your life as much as her own.
