A THOUSAND MILES AND POLES APART
★ APPEARANCE
She will more than likely appear cold to most people she meets. Although the job requires a certain rigid feeling, she will keep the same posture and give off the same feeling during her free time too. She doesn't take no for an answer, and when she does, she childishly pouts and grumbles, although there is more bark than bite with her. She is somewhat proud of her looks, having inherited most of her father's physical attributes such as hair color and eye color, even facial expressions, so she won't hesitate to spend a little making herself look good, even on the job. She can't and won't wear weird frilly things.

★ Backstory
The Collins family is all about law and order. You know, how all those fancy TV shows keep putting justice on the first place? That is exactly what Josephine's parents did too. As the result of an affair of her father and her mother at the work place, Josephine was the one that caused a divorce of both her parents and, at the same time, a marriage of the two. She had initially thought, as a child, that the two were happily married and that they were living one of those fairy tale stories she had secretly loved (and still does, don't let the gloomy face fool you), but the constant arguments between her parents slowly made her realize that she was at fault for everything. A child at heart still, she strived hard to make her parents proud of her, to see that they did not make a mistake by leaving their old lives and starting a new one. She still isn't sure if it worked.
Josephine was the name she had been given from a magazine lying around in the hospital's waiting room. Josephine was and still is the name she secretly loves the most, because she feels like she is common, one of the masses, simple and unneeded. She had tried to prove herself once, by studying hard and working hard and eventually graduating from the police academy second. All that earned her was a few scoffs from her mother and a low sexist comment from her father. It didn't mean much to her, not when they both knew what a liking she had taken to martial arts since a very early age, when she'd stay up late to wait for them to come home.
It was her friends that made her get out of her shell, making her promptly announce that she was moving out from her parents' apartment and to some shabby place in the outskirts of Sternbild. No, heroes had never been to her liking. Maybe it was jealousy, or the fact that she did not see the police's use anymore as long as they were there, protecting everyone. The police had ended up as a cleaning service and, more than often, she'd take out her silent frustration on the criminals they apprehended, conducting so called 'secret' and not-so-peaceful interrogations.
Selling information from within the police started as a joke, initially. Taking a file and sending it to someone was easy enough, so she did it again, and again, and again... And now, she is some sort of a criminal herself. A masochist, in truth, she wouldn't mind it if she'd get caught: life doesn't have that much importance to her anyway. Maybe the title of criminal would get her more satisfaction than the title of 'second-place-child' or police officer of Sternbild ever did.

★ Weaponry
A handgun that came to her with the job, although she doesn't use it much except for the firearm training courses she retakes every year.
★ ETCETERA
Graduated from the Police Academy almost at the top of her class: there was always someone who told her she was not good enough, so she ended up believing that second place was just as good.
Hates sexism, but doesn't act on it. On the contrary, she encourages it by avoiding conflicts.
Secretly wishes she'd start life all over again, so she thinks of resigning and joining the life of a criminal.
