I KNOW I’LL SIN, AGAIN
★ APPEARANCE
An average height and weight for someone his age, Allister doesn’t really stand out as a tower or hide away like a fly. He does his best to blend in with the others in the crowd, never wanting to really be the center of attention. His typical stance is with his head down, and the hood of his sweat shirt pulled over his head to hide his face from everyone. He wears baggie clothes that hide his skinny figure under the layers of frumpy cloth. Not that he seems to particularly care for this fact. Allister prefers to be the wall flower, as he’s never done well in front of crowds.
The main reason he typically wears his hood up and tries to hide his face away is the fact he has vibrant silver-blue hair. After an attempt to dye it for fun had gone horribly wrong, Allister’s hair ended up becoming this quirky shade that nearly matches his eye color to a T. His hair is almost always a shaggy mess in a possibly stylish way. Along with his pale skin, Allister clearly doesn’t venture outside that often. He’s almost always bundled in layers of clothing, as if he’s always cold, even in the middle of a hot sunny Summer day, he hides himself away in an oversized hoodie.

★ PERSONALITY
Not exactly a hero, or a villain, Allister forever wanders the middle ground of good and evil. Now, it isn’t because he enjoys doing bad things, in fact, Allister is a genuinely good person. He’s the type of guy that would help the old lady across the street, hold the door open for a woman, and the typical chivalrous deeds. What makes Allister wander this middle ground is the simple fact he’s incapable of standing up for himself. If one were to describe this young man, courageous and stubborn would be two words you’d never include. Unfortunately, he is probably about as spineless as they come.
On one hand, Allister is like this due to the simple fact he just wants to be accepted amongst his peers. He wants friends, and people he knows will take care of him. On the other hand, it’s mostly due to the fact that he is just a huge coward. Aliens, zombies, monsters, the boogey man, you name it and Allister is probably afraid of it. His fear also leaks into his fear of being rejected, failure, and just being judged poorly by those around him. While everyone does typically have these kind of fears, Allister tends to feel these to a strong extent. He’s always worrying about whether or not his friends actually just pity him, or if they genuinely enjoy his company.
With this constant paranoia, Allister is something of a people pleaser. He goes out of his way to try and please the people around him. Even if this means going against his morals, he will drive the getaway car, or tag along for a night of covering buildings with inappropriate graffiti. This has led Allister to do a variety of things he isn’t exactly proud of, and it’s rather clear that his confidence is shot. Like a little puppet, he’s found himself wrapped around the fingers of the world. There’s very little that can make Allister finally put his foot down.
The saddest part about all of this is the simple fact that Allister is full of potential. He’s a genius, far smarter than most his age. When he isn’t being dragged around reluctantly by others, he is a very sweet and gentle soul. If he could, he’d probably try and become a teacher or, dare he say, even a Hero or Vigilante. He loves the idea of saving people; he loves the idea of people praising him, and being accepted for his true nature. With his current life style, though, Allister’s dreams are very far from any sort of reality, though.

★ Backstory
Ever since he was a child, Allister has always been a quiet and reserved boy. He preferred the idea of staying inside and reading over running around outside and playing sports. Not that his parents particularly minded this, in fact, they adored their son’s calmness, since they were particularly busy. His father being a doctor, and his mother being a college professor, the two were very busy and quite a wealthy couple. Allister was often left in the hands of various caretakers, but it wasn’t like he noticed this. He was usually buried deep in his books, ranging from comics to actual novels.
He was a little prodigy, learning to read and write faster than his peers. Math and science was a breeze, and he excelled in most, if not all, his studies. The only thing that Allister seemed to struggle with was interacting with his rather rambunctious peers. While most kids were on the playground, he was sitting to the side, watching and waiting. He wasn’t exactly outgoing, so he would wait for other kids to invite him to play with them before he actually got involved. Needless to say, his childhood was spent mostly by himself, but he didn’t seem to mind that too terribly much.
Around the age of thirteen, though, Allister’s nightmares started up. He woke up in the middle of the night, often times screaming and yelling for help. It was about a week before he was finally taken to see a therapist. The therapist claimed it must be some sort of result to the fact he clearly was suffering from social anxieties. It was a couple more days of his nightmares before his mother finally changed her job so she could homeschool Allister. She began to take the time to help Allister calm down and help him with his inept social skills.
Everything seemed to be getting better, as far as his mother was aware, that is. Allister still suffered from his nightmares, but he was no longer waking up screaming in horror. That seemed to be the extent of his troubles, until one day he decided to watch an extremely horrifying horror movie, despite being told not to. That night, it wasn’t just screams that woke up his parents, but a horribly bizarre cold breeze in the middle of summer. To the source they went, and found their son in the middle of a Winter Wonderland.
His room had been covered head to toe with a thick layer of ice, said ice trapping him to the bed. They weren’t sure what had happened, but needless to say, the authorities were called. Firefighters arrived to help break Allister out of the ice and to the safety of his parents’ arms. His room had to be entirely redone in result of water damage when the ice finally melted. The bizarre incident couldn’t be explained, other than a possible break in, with a NEXT being the culprit. Nothing was missing, though, and it didn’t take long for the investigation to hit a dead end. As time went on, it was silently dropped after never being able to find a way to explain the ice… Other than Allister being a NEXT, but his parents promptly denied the claims.
They may have denied it, though, but it didn’t take long for Allister to begin freezing things, again. He’d jump at a nose and have his spoon frozen to his hand. He’d remember scary stories and freeze his blanket to his clothes. The ice kept coming back, and it was clearly best to enroll Allister into Hero Academy, but his parents never did. With his intelligence, they knew he could grow to be something much more than just a hero on television. They just took it upon themselves to handle and pay for any sort of damage that came in result of his powers. They covered up his powers, just wanting a future for him where he wasn’t some sort of freak on TV, paid to do horrifying acts of justice.
Allister struggled, and still does, with his powers. Even when travelling around Sternbild with his parents or their hired help hovering over his shoulder, he constantly had to have an eye kept on him to keep him out of trouble. As he got older, they let him start wandering around on his own, and that’s when Allister started to find himself getting mixed up with the wrong crowd. Old school mates would recognize him and drag him into trouble that his parents would have to handle.
After a party where Allister ended up getting wasted and left on a street corner to his own defenses, he began trying his hardest to avoid the troublesome group, despite really having no one else to travel the streets at night. He struggles to find his place in the city, dreaming to be a hero that his parents didn’t want him to be. Maybe he could be a teacher like his mother, but how could he do that when he couldn’t even type on a computer without frying it most of the time from water dripping from his hands. Allister’s path is wide open, he just has to decide.

★ NEXT
--Fear Induced Cyrokinesis: Possibly due to Allister being incapable of controlling his own power, Allister’s power of cyrokinesis only works when he’s scared, or he senses someone else is afraid. Some believe that Allister just needs to feel a strong emotion before his power works, but so far, his ice manipulating ability only works when the young man is frightened. There have been incidents where someone near him gets scared that causes his power to kick into gear, showing possible signs of Allister’s power being a result of emotions and empathy.
