RULES

LAWS OF THE LAND

01.) Don't be a jerk. Simple enough, right? Respect everyone and be chill to each other. If any problems arise, contact an admin.

02.) Canon characters as well as original characters are allowed. Being familiar with the series (Tiger&Bunny) is encouraged but not required for those playing OCs.

03.) We have a relatively small word count here at LAN, 150 words which is a decent paragraph or two. One liners should be avoided and please make sure your posts are coherent. Give enough to work with. If you receive a lovely multi-paragraph post, it's not very polite to throw one sentence back, now is it?

04.) Given the nature of the setting, there's likely to be mature themes. However, any explicit scenes should be faded to black to comply with Proboards TOS. You may play out that interaction off-site.

05.) Godmodding, metagaming, and other such abuses of power will not be tolerated.

06.) Players can have as many original characters as they wish, provided they remain active. However, if you wish to play a canon, you may only play one at a time. This is to ensure everyone has a chance to play in the canon cast.

07.) If you are going to be away for an extended period of time, please post a hiatus in the appropriate boards. If we do not hear from you after a month with no word, your claims will be forfeited.

08.) One account per character, and please set your display name using the following format: Character First Name Character Last Name.

09.) Avatars must be 100x100 and signatures must not pass 600px width. Do not stretch the forum with signature heights.

10.) Face claims should be animanga-style only, no real life individuals or celebrities.

11.) When starting threads, be sure to clearly label them as as open or close as {Open} or {Character name}.

12.) NEXT are limited to one (1) power and one alone. Nothing too powerful or at all godmodish. (Look below this for an idea on what we accept and what we don't)

Here at LaN, we are a one of kind superhero roleplay forum. In the fact that heroes are widely accepted and even put on tv for entertainment purposes. But also the heroes’ powers are limited to one and its called NEXT. This is the simplest way to put it. Every superhero or villain that has a NEXT power, has just one thing they can do like fire manipulation to shadow puppetry.


Here is a good a example of what we will accept.

Hundred Power - ability which increases the user's physical capabilities (strength, speed, endurance, jumping ability, etc.) to a hundred time for a span of 5 minutes. After those 5 minutes, the user must rest for one hour before activating the power again. Hundred Power boosts a user's endurance to an extent that a bullet wound to the chest at point-blank range only barely breaks the skin and doesn't cause any major damage. Even the effects of being smashed into concrete or struck with a flaming crossbow arrow are greatly reduced while this power is active. At one point, Wild Tiger seemingly uses this ability to heal his own critical injuries, but in reality Hundred Power may, at most, only be able to speed up cell reproduction to aid in recovery. It can also boost the user's hearing to enable them to hear faint sounds a considerable distance away, even during a downpour.

Lightning Manipulation - ability which grants the user control over the element of lightning. The user is able to generate lightning, and is able to utilize it in various ways. This ability also provides the user immunity to lightning-based attacks as in fact the user becomes a conductor. The user, however, will still receive damage to lightning if the ability is not activated, also it appears that the user needs their hands in order to redirect the energy, thereby releasing it.

What we won’t accept:

• Solar Manipulation - power to control and generate solar energy. The users can control, create and manipulate all aspects of a sun's power, starting from its immense heat, luminosity, mass/gravitational field, magnetic field, raw nuclear energy and reaction, etc.. More specific effects include solar winds/flares, geomagnetic storms, sunspot reactions causation, UV emissions, and plant growth promotion. Has the ability for Fire Manipulation Gravity Manipulation, Light Manipulation, Magnetism Manipulation, Miniature Solar Winds/Flares, Nuclear Manipulation, Plasma Manipulation, Solar Empowerment, Solar Energy Blasts, Solar Beam Emission, Solar Energy Explosions, Solar Radiation Absorption, Supernova Inducement and, Universal Constructs of solar energy, including weapons, walls, or allies/servants. Immunity to effects of suns energy, Fireproof Skin, Not affected by bright light. UV radiation immunity.

Reason why we won’t accept something like this…

Way too many powers rolled into one. And that is the major issues. Having a next power means you only get one super hero power. Not having one super power that is like five or sixed rolled into one. And there is not enough weakness listed and makes it godmodish. The more simple and basic your power is the more likely it will be accepted.
